1st November blue sky , sun shinning NE 4/5 wind and almost flat seas sailing on a close reach heading North along the West Peloponnese to Katakolon , what are you up to ?

Port Dinorwic, Menai Strait. Spent yesterday building a winter shelter in fresh winds and occasional heavy showers, temperature well above the seasonal average at about 18C. Not a lot different today but temperature down to 13C. Winter shelter pretty successful so we were able to sit in the cockpit.

17C, Croatia Punat, boat is outside, I am replacing all the fittings and valves, new AF (old one scraped off...)

We just had 8 days of cold dark weather. Poros Saronic. Been moving around each day to get the best of wind for the generators. Solar did nothing.
Met a guy who said his solar panels ware working fine. Showed me the volt meter. !3.4 Volts. Poor man did not understand he was measuring the panel tension.
Even with two wind generators and 170w of solar ( New panels and a MPPT ) not enough power for the fridge and the laptop. ( New big laptop only using one Amp. )
Had to run the diesel for an hour to create some bulk load.
I could anchor on a more windy spot so the windgen´s would cover all needs but then I am out of range of good Wi-Fi and using the dingy gets a bit wet.
Wood burning stove is on mornings and evenings. Comfy.
Just four charter yachts passing trough the lake yesterday, sailors dressed like polar explorers.

How do you reckon Achill Island will be first week of January - cottage, not boat?

Silly question..................moist.;) Seriously though, you never really know, apart from the probability of being wet and gale lashed in which case you can just throw another sod of turf on the fire, it could also be cold, frosty and sunny if there is high pressure. Either way, you will surely enjoy the peace and quiet of that time of year.

Left Bruces yard in Faro yesterday. Been blue skies, slight sweat on during the day with 28deg C and nice and cool at night!

Anchored out in Uçağiz, Turkey with the sun beating down! Bikini and very cold beer weather still! While it lasts we will stay out! Winter marina 15 miles away so an easy hop when weather changes! ;)

A friend and I camped in a tent there over the Christmas holidays while at Uni. Just wondering now with climate change and all that.

picking olives today , just a pair of shorts , 25 C ,
it might sound good ,but 21 more trees to go !!!!!!!!

Do you not use the net method? I came across it in a very entertaining book about a lady who bought a house with olive trees in northern Italy but I have seen the same method used in Greece. Nets strung beneath the trees followed by severe branch shaking to remove the olives.
