sorry guys, the lack of response to my valve clearance question yesterday suggests I'm posing too many pleas for help and not contributing enough to the forum myself... so in response to that one.... here's yet another plea for help...
I've been having the odd problem with starting the engine over the last month with the occasional click of the solanoid and then nothing.. however, invariably a few turns of the key and it kicked in to life... not now though which is a bugger considering I need to setup these valves again :-(
I've tried 3 different batteries and it's the same with each.. click click of the solanoid and the battery indicator falls off to the left and the starter doesn't turn over the engine.. I've also noticed that with the kill switch set to off, I get a reading of 12v+ on the gauge, with it set to one it drops to 11v.
What do you reckon please... short in the starter motor?
I'm going to check out the wiring diagrams so I can do some 'half split' diagnosis but thought I'd take punt at asking the experts again... sorry sorry sorry in advance
