I had a problem with the anchor setting while lying on the hoop when the shank angle was too narrow,After widening it to more or less the correct spec it now turns and sets as it should.

In that case you'd weigh the tip and get a Spade I guess.
Edit,when I get some free time I'll make a small loopless Rocna type anchor and see how it goes.If it doesn't work then I'll weigh the tip with lead and see again.I wonder how much of the features we're sold are just marketing ploys?
