Is the bouyancy aid for a person in the dinghy or for one of the anchors or even for the dinghy !

That just depends on the circumstances. I often prefer a small shovel.

Are you short? the 40kg spec height is only 1085cm when standing upright.

The smaller one in the photo is either a Canada one or NZ made one, not chinese.

Do the others have the logo embossed on the underside of the blade?

No, no no. The sign of a true sailor is that they use whatever anchor came with their boat and never have a moments problem with it.

Only the inept need to blame their anchors for their own poor technique.
