Considering it costs little more than a decent Rope I bought an Anchor Buddy from Baotworld and tested it yesterday. It is an elasticated rope that allows you to drop anchor just off the beech then motor into the beech and then the Anchor Buddy pulls the boat out to the deeper water. A rope attaching the boat to the shore lets you pull it back in again to get on board.

The attached pic are with 2 ribs on it in quite a strong tidal flow

The orange rope is the Anchor Buddy. You can get different sizes and strengths and it stops you worrying about a beached boat so you can enjoy the beech

Well worth a purchase me thinks

It is a good bit of kit.
Used ours with a 21ft Cuddy all the time two boats ago. It enabled getting ashore easyly without a dinghy, especially as we had a bow ladder.
Stopped using it when we changed to a 31fter as that would have been too heavy and our current 25ft sports cruiser has a bow too high to climb in and out from.

Didnt it take a raft up of 4 boats (possible 5) at Swanage a few years back?

Would be useful for the rib but google only shows USA suppliers and eBay only the short one.

Greenfield seem to make it but you can’t buy from their site

In Mallorca so results maybe distorted by google.

Where did you get it ?
