An Interesting Afternoon

Went to listen to Mike Peyton this afternoon at Marconi Sailing Club. I expect that many forum members know him better that I do but he is getting on a bit now and is losing his sight. He also needs a minder with him but he stood up and talked for an hour about his life in sailing, starting just after the war, and kept everyone interested and amused, even SWMBO enjoyed herself. He is clearly a great attraction as the club house was full. I understand that he is happy to give talks, if you get the chance then go and see him.

Glad it was a good event - I'd been planning to go but have been laid low with cough / cold / sinus thing this weekend so felt it best not to share!!
