I know how you all like photo's, so here's a few photo’s from yesterday’s parade of sail.

Fab - Don't think I'd fancy a trip on the green one, tho'. Sure to find umbrellas and all sorts of other unlucky stuff, on board.

Thanks, nice pics

Interesting there isn't a motoring cone in sight. Were they all just under sail (#8 excepted of course)? Surely not #2 - there is only about 30hp worth of sail up on her so she must have had engines running

Fantastic. Did a lot of the marina go out to see them off?

It was a great weekend, would realy liked to have seen the parade, but one of the many benefits of being a wage slave was that I was chained to my desk come Monday!

Those tall ships that were in the marina left with both lock gates open under free flow. Then they reverted to normal locking operations that led to maddness with people jockying for position to lock out. Fortunately, the lock keeper called us in order of request for lock out so I was 4th in lock. The lock keeper then realised he wouldnt get all boats out, so reverted to free flow about 45 minutes which meant about 30 to 40 boats got out.

It was dissapointing that all the tall ships wearn't under sail. I think most were using engines, but nice to those that were under sail. All in all a good weekend.

Hello Eddie and group

We really enjoyed seeing the ships at sea but the lock out / free floow - free for all was chaos.

I saw some very poor boating from both sail and power with people forcing ther way into the first lock out.

The marina resorted to who shouted loudest and not in the order in which vessels were at the holding area, we were 2nd and 3rd behind Missmoneypenny but were forced by reckless boat owners to take refuge on the visiting pontoon and wait for the free flow.

The marina changed their minds as initially they would lock out all traffic then went for a free for all.
