In advance of my so called friends (philiz & kawasaki) posting on here, yes it was me who was guilty of creating excessive wash whilst travelling downstream past Conwy town quay on Good Friday morning. In my defence, yer honour, I was battling the strongest part of the flood tide & I used a bit too much throttle in my comparative inexeprience. However, the bollocking that I got from two guys trying to stay upright on their boat as my wash hit them was fully deserved. I'm posting this not to try & justify what I did, nor to stick two fingers up to genuine concerns about inappropriate boating, but purely to get my excuses in before those two forumites previously named get back on here & stick the knife in unmercilessly /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Well, it takes a big man to stand up and take a bollocking that is well deserved. However, when Lawsy related this story to us I'm sure he said he saw these two raggies and thought he'd give em a bit of excitement, mind you Lawsy was pissed at the time, Kwackers and I were stone cold sober of course! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

While confessions are being made, some dozy barsteward left my handheld open on channel 16 on Friday, all that could be heard for a few minutes was our Parrot shouting and whistling. Liz was on a PB2 course with Kwackers at the time so my error was soon drawn to my attention. Sorry to any one who heard the transmission but you probably just thought Kwackers was pissed again! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As a fellow forumite once told me:

"If ye don't like waves, buy a forking caravan"

Yer can tell they are 'Caravan' types.

I reckon there will be a bit of a 'Patio' and stuff on the Pontoon shortly.
They turn up with 2 big dogs.
And get this.
A bleedin Parrot!

A special boarding arrangement for the Animals.
And make sausage butties and the drop of a hat.
Wierd.

We must put up with Newbies I suppose.

I must contact the RYA and insist that Fray Bentos is added to the Curriculum.

added to the Curriculum added to the Curriculum added to the Curriculum.
Shite! --- the Parrot has got to Me.

Liz was on a PB2 course

Thread drift I know, but why was Liz not doing her PB2 on your boat? Surely that is the one she will helm most or am I just reading it wrong. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Well knowing that you've got a forking caravan, how long before we see Starflame towing it down the strait? Or are you not going to try that trick until you've done your advanced /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif?

My brother in-law drove an artic truck and just loved to overtake NAVARAC ers to see if they could correct the wind blast.

Theres a section on the M5 between the Severn bridge and Bristol that often has NAVARAC's over on their sides.

What is a NAVARAC.

Sorry for Fred Drift. Its the medication, you see

There were 3 on the course so didn't want strangers of unknow abilities putting 2 days use on our boat. Also, she felt more confident practising manouvres on a rib.
Now she has learnt the basic skills she can practice in her own time on ours

She owes me a tenner for the extra. Colisions at sea. Lesson I gave her, when I rammed them with the dinghy. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh, should have given her the pump for your new dinghy.

Fair enough - although you would not have been able to have 2 "strangers" on the boat anyway. It falls under own boat tuition so the school could not just have put two others on your boat.

Soli, if yer had seen hlb in His new superfast dinghy.
He needs 'own dinghy' tuition.

One more Bump and I had the answer.
Swiss army knife 'sharply' poked into His tubes /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Good knife on a boat is essential.
Ropes round propes and for sorting the Hooligan element out. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
