Amazing double-sided tape - where to get?

This wonderful tape held strong for 15 years without fail and yet came off when requested without damaging the varnish underneath. Where can I get new amazing double-sided tape with the same properties?

This is on a Bavaria 40 Ocean built in 2000 and I've found it in various places on the boat (no, the keel isn't stuck on with it).

I can find plenty of cheap rubbish double-sided tape, but that's not what I'm asking for. What I want is the kind that offers the above qualities, meaning it doesn't fall off on its own nor does it have the kind of glue that'll rip the varnish off my mahogany when I do decide to remove it. I sincerely doubt the stuff from the pound shop can pull off this feat.

But you know if it was me, I'd try number plate / trim tape from halfords. Designed to hold a plate for the life of a car but never take the paint off when removed. Something like this....

What you need is 3M VHB tape. Amazing stuff. Expensive however

I use VHB tape off EBay which sticks like smelly stuff to a blanket and then comes off clean. I prefer the gel version which has some cushioning too.
