Am I going to regret chucking out my old NASA video navtex aerial

Old video navtex aerial now removed from behind heads door.
Marked active and has a metal whip aerial about 84cms long. Base of unit doesn't look waterproof.
Is it of use or completely redundant? I don't have the video navtex unit!
