In last months PBO there was a picture of a Seahawk with an Alternator on the gearbox driven by the shaft, is it Ok to run an alternator in both directions.

afaik, the only thing to consider is the cooling fan....I believe there are left & r/h ones + bi-directional ones. Naturally you want the main cooling flow in forward gear or use a bi-directional one. Electrically it makes no odds which way it goes.
