About to fit a new regulator to my Balmar 100A alternator. I only have one temperature sensor at the moment (second one on order). Which temperature to monitor is more important, alternator or batteries? Battery bank is 2 x 110 Ah Enhanced Lead Acid, as used in stop/start cars, the most current I've seen going into them was 23A when they were approx 20% discharged.

If you are UK based, battery temperature is not as important as being located in the Tropics. Your batteries should be below 25degC all the time. I would be more interested in alternator temperature but if you are only seeing 23A from a 100A alternator, this is likely not important either
