Alternator Issue

Hello,

Can anyone help identify the green resistor/diode/ part5 in the photo, this is on a Broom European On the external eiring of a AC5 alternator, thius is near the CAV 440D control box is it a one way diode or a blocking diode as it is attached to the Red from the Alternator and is then wired into the Black side of the alternator box.

Any help is apprciated, and where can i get one.

I can't answer your question, but others on here might be able to. However, I cannot see the photo you refer to?

The control boxes for the externally controlled AC5's are NLA however before somebody chimes in and says 'oh yes they are' let me explain, lucas Delphi dropped production of the regulators years ago. You can obtain clones which come from India however they have the life of a disposable cigarette lighter!

If you PM me I may be able to put you in touch with boaters who have recently re-powered, a second hand one is worth ten of useless clones.
