Alternator for a VP 2002

Have just ordered a 70A alternator from Sheffield for a base price of €121.

The VP price in France is €1244.

Last year it was question of a starter motor price €94 delivered in France; VP price €1400.

The 2002 alternator seems to have been replaced by part number 873770, which is £377 from Volspec (VP dealers in Essex). The VP price you've been quoted in France is suspect! Non-VP replacements are around £100-120 in the UK.

Edit: I just looked at a French VP dealers online shop, chosen at random, and the price was €484.
