Our current alternator on a Bukh DV36 works fine but is rated at, I think, just 40 amps output. I have a newer alternator (long story) from a Beta 38 rated at 60 amps. Initial thoughts are the bolt locations are similar so could/would it be possible to change it over or are the connectors at the back likely to be so wildly different it would just be a lash up? No smart charger in the system so just a theoretical swap. Thoughts? Not absolutely necessary to change but just thought the extra output might be useful for the 300 A/hr house batteries.
