I have a prestolite alternator and an Adverc battery management system.
I am attaching a picture of the alternator which at present has just 2 connections made . The bolt at 3oclock is +ve and the smaller one at 5 oclock is -ve.
The blue spade above the -ve is not connected.
The brown from the adverc is connected to the +ve
The green from the adverc is not connected.
I wonder if anyone can identify the other connections on the alternator. Thanks in advance

According to the installation guide it seems that the brown from the Adverc should go to the D+ on the alternator, not to the B+.
My guess is that D+ could be the smaller of the three recessed spades, the one with the short wire attached.
The green from the Adverc should be connected to one of the brushes, inside the alternator. Do do this you need to take off the regulator/brush assembly.

Thanks all for that very useful information. The diagram looks just about a perfect copy. The identifying marks on the alternator have unfortunately worn off completely

I thought I would be able to find a simple youtube video to help with soldering a wire onto an alternator brush but so far have not found one. I wonder if anyone can advise ;thanks as usual

From menory, the Adverc comes in two variants, positive and negative, depending on the alternator being regulated on the positive or negative side of the rotor. Have you made sure that your Adverc will suit your alternator in this respect?

Found this in the archives, which explains more in detail:
