sorry for all the questions but it really makes a difference . Do you intend to use the legs on a drying mooring ?? if so what sort of grounding is it ? mud, sand etc . Or is it solely for use on a hard standing ?

Is the boat long or fin keel ??

Long keel and for occasional taking the ground in drying ports. Not for regular use, if you see what I mean, so it's hard to predict. I expect I would use them on sandy or hard mud bottom. If it were soft mud experience suggests I wouldn't need them.

Don't forget your boat has a tendency to lie bows down. It rotates about the leading edge of the keel. This means that beaching legs have to support the bow as well as balancing the boat. It's why I've not tried this myself. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
