Alpha 1 Gen 2 Anodes

I am interested how long Anodes last from people with Alpha 1 Gen 2 legs moored in salt water.

I am not interested if people just replace them every year as a matter of course (or worse pay someone to replace them as a matter of course every year) I would like to know how long peoples seem to be lasting.

Mine are dissolving and they have been in the water over 2 years for about 9 months total but there still seems to be over half of the 'meat left'

What are others experiences.

It varies depending on where you are moored, what your anodes are made of and on the Alpha leg; whether you have a stainless prop.

For me: Aluminium anodes, stainless prop, Mercathode kit & moored in fairly fast flowing tides - I get about six months.
