Alpha 1 gen 2 anode question

Whats the fibre washer thingy all about for the anode that fits under the leg ?

It stops water from leaking past the rubber grommet behind it and then into your boat.

Its for the cables to pass through if you have the Mercathode system fitted.

Do I get/should I change the grommet ?
Any problems with doing the anode change with the boat in the water ? I did it last year but didnt change either the grommet or the fibre washer and havent had any probs. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Usually the grommet follows with the anode, if you managed it in the water last time then it should be OK this time but I would try to use the new gasket as the old one is a bit flat and compressed now.
