Almerimar yard work serious problems reported

Reliable complaint. I don't want to drag myself or IPC Media into anything.

The person who told me the story has been personal friend for many years and is IMO 100% reliable.

But. There are certainly many satisfied customers.

All I can say is please be careful, VIGILANT, watch the work being carried out, specify scope and cost of work. Do not assume that a nod and a shake is the way to do business at this time. Get it put in writing.

The skills are there, it seems.

I have spent a couple of winters in Almerimar have had work carried out in the yard.
Speak out what is the problem! no point in saying there is a problem without stating what it is. Better to say nothing.

Almerimar Yard Work-Excellent

On the delivery trip of my new boat, from Gib' to Corfu a few years ago, my rudder top bearing collapsed. The two british guys who work for Paulo did the repair.
The bearing's still fine today. They also did a few extra jobs without me requesting them, all in the charge for the bearing repairs.
Talk about impressed!!!!

I agree.

The english in the yard can't be trusted.
I have been here on my boat frequently. Ask around. Livabords avoids him.
A handshake is not an agreement and demanding more than agreed is common.
- Something turned up that the agreed price not covered....... this and that.

Also:
The Yard, Alamar shop, Inox place (and english speaking friends) have daily 10 o'clock meetings. All know your situation when you ask for compeeting offers. Illegal in EU, but not in Almerimar
