The alloy sheaves for both reefing lines on my main sail (technique voile) need replaced. Can any one advise where Ican obtain replacements the approx size of the sheave is 32mm diax14mm widex6mm dia hole.Do the replacement sheaves have to be alloy because of loading? Note the sheaves fit into an alloy type block which is secured to the sail

Same as our Beneteau .. Ours have a centre spindle that the sheave runs on .. Bolt through the middle .. You could always make the hole bigger and get your local machine shop to make you a couple of new ones from a bit of stainless .. Not a complicated job but the spindles need to be slightly wider than the sheaves so when you tighten them they dont jam .. Ours has an ordinary bolt through the middle .. Hope that helps ..

Contact a decent rigger near you. They'll be able to order the parts. Alternatively contact a sailmaker as they'll know of the local riggers.
