Allo chaps... Whats been goin on then??

No, dull

Its been a dull 24 hrs, after a few days of real fun. I've joined the MoBo folk as a point of protest. Like the TV programme last night about 4 weeks to become a drag artist, I'm on a crash course to become a proper stinkie. I'm learning lots.

Not exactly

Yes it was mostly a very pleasant way to spend a few weeks, but we did have one nasty experience......
a 40knot meltemi caught us out in the open with a duff furling line on the genoa, we were sailing just off the coast of Simi island and the weather changed in about 30mins. The in mast furling mainsail behaved ok & I was able to shorten it without a problem but the furling line on the genoa jammed on the drum & we had great fun sorting that out, in the end I let off the furling line and managed to wind on the genoa manualy and then lash it.
Made Simi harbour and spent a very unpleasant night rafted up to a 32' with about a thousand lines. Most of the stern to boats had to move a least once during the night.
So much for med mooring!

Ho Hum.
