Had quick natter with lock staff.
Lockie was on his mobile dealing with a couple of problems as we chatted , the pump out out at Yalding was reluctant to work, you need to be patient and a new bog seat was desperately needed elsewhere.
Who was going to pay for the seat was also discussed, to save much time and trouble it is quicker if the lockies fit it.
Basic complaint is about renumeration,for many years they had beem limited to 1% increase.
Only two lockies have onsite accomodation all the rest live elsewhere.
Action is basically limited to out of normal hours cover.
