A small number of moorings has recently been installed on the the river bank adjacent to the grounds of Allington Castle..Just past the EA lock moorings and well worth trying if nothing available at lock.
Most were let for permanent mooring but a couple are sometimes available for overnight or short term stays.£13.00 a night with services.
Spent weekend up there and were entertained by the arrival of a helicopter ferrying guests to a wedding being held in the Castle grounds..
