Hi
Allan Austin was one of the top Uk climbers in the 50/60's and many 1st ascents in Yorkshire, the lakes and Wales to his credit until he stopped climbing after an injury (as a few of us did) and I am told he took up sailing. A friend of a friend is writing a biography of Pete Livesey (who sadly died some years ago) , who was perhaps the UK's top climber in the 70's. He is wanting to interview Allan about his memories of Pete but cannot trace him and he has asked me if I can try and establish a contact via sailing contacts.
A long shot but if anyone has knowledge of Allan's location or any other info please respond general info by a reply post or addresses/telephone/e mail by PM.
