Finally got a pic of Kite with all sails set and getting a respectable 6kts in 12kts apparent wind. Lovely day! Thanks to Nicola and Martin on Chin Chin II.

Tell us about that make of boat - I've never heard of it. What are they like? keel configuration? etc

 

[Capn Pugwash]

It's a Whitby 42 twin headsail Ketch. Designed and built by Ted Brewer, Ontario , Canada. It's a long keel design with a draft of just over 1.65 metres.

Great blue water boat, we bought her in Long Island, New York and sailed her back to Portsmouth in May/June 2007.
Big, solid and heavy boat but surprisingly quick and agile. (except when going backwards!!)
