Well the deed is done and we are now the new owners of a Sealine S23, I know that I can here a few boo's and hisses in the background, but after alot of shopping around we decided that this was the boat for us.

We are now off to Southampton to pick her up and take her back to Plymouth, I just can't believe that everything went through so smoothly and in time for the great weather this weekend.

I would like to thank all the people on this forum who have helped us out with all the little niggles that cropped up along the way and I promise not to post too many photo's whn we get back on Sunday night.

I'd also like to recommend a few people who have helped us out namely, Solent Motor Yachts who have been no end of help, Duncan and Hugo from Saunders Morgan Harris who did our survey and were very very helpful and honest, the people at Lombard Marine Finance who also helped us out with great speed and efficiency. Finally Kyle Wood who is helping us to take the boat back this weekend and show us the boat.

I'd also like to thank my parents and Anne's parents ya da ya da ya da ya da

P.S. If we get stuck this weekend and anyone else helps out I'll also give you a mention /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Congrats. Nothing wrong with the boat you've chosen.

I'd second Hugo Morgan-Harris - he surveyed my boat and did an excellent and thorough job, without complaining about the fact that I was watching him all the time. Very instructive!

Well what a weekend - the weather was excellent and the trip went without a hitch....could have done with a few extra layers on though /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Managed to motor all the way back in around 7 hours - It was good to have Kyle onboard (an excellent security blanket) and he even provided the coffee and sandwiches.

Just as well, the S23 sails like a pig /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ah! I get it now. Relatively new to this and obviously haven't got the lingo sussed yet /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Thanks Al. Say hello to Inchmurrin for us next time you pass - Helensburgh / Dumbarton used to be my stomping ground until two years ago. I still miss the scenery!
