I wasn't directly involved with marketing, just the editorial, and many of the relevant components are no longer on the scene. But the site was boatastic.com and the main objectors were Suzanne and Paul so I was led to believe. I was quite clearly informed that we were not being allowed to advertise - the unwritten reason was that our on-line chandlery would clash with ybw.com's.

The reasons are understandable, really, but still they disprove what you are currently declaring.
