One of my jobs still left to do on the boat is re-rivet the kicker tang on the boom. It's a metal slide, situated in a track and rivetted on the bottom of the boom. I think it gave way more due to the shear loads acting horizontal along the boom.
So my questions i pose to the board are...
A) What kind of boom purchase and set up are you using?
B) How is your tang connected to the boom?
The rig is on a 26ft boat with a 7/8 fractional rig.
