I know that a thread on the algae in the Solent has already been posted. But a word of warning. We went out last weekend and because of the amount of the brown stuff we had to pass through big patches of it. When I got back to Ocean Village had a look at the sea water filters and the horrible stuff had coated them so well that you could nearly fill them with water like a cup. It would appear that the algae is quite thick in the water beneath the patches. So watch those engine temperatures.

Can I say to all Please do check your filters if in the Solent area. Was on a 42 today, checked filters as always/forums/images/icons/wink.gif and found them BLOCKED with algie and weed,I have never seen filters that bad before, took 15 min to clean them with the hose after pulling all the weed out. Checked her again after being run for about 5 hours, and removed some weed again,

SO PLEASE CHECK YOUR FILTERS.
