Amazing place with huge gardens on the edge of the Thames and a couple of friendly dogs to eat up the leftovers. Absolutely charming hostess, magnificent food and far more than we could eat. Copious booze. Large party no problem at all. Mine host a touch rough round the edges and insisted on showing off his braces but not a bad old stick underneath, I guess. Couldnt believe how cheap it all was either, even peeps from as far away as Brighton seemed to think the journey was worthwhile. Opening hours spasmodic though....not sure when next available.........

Absolutely agree. I was there last week. Fabulous food and great atmosphere. Eileen, the Hostess, was saying that they may open the Beer Garden in the summer with a marquee. Looking at the size of it she could probably take the one that's going spare down in Greenwich. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
