Had one of them for years. A good bit of kit provided you've got a smooth, non-porous surface for the sucker.

They also sell exactly the same vice but with a table clamp rather than the vacuum sucky thing. I bought the vacuum one first and then the clamp one and swapped the vacuum one on the boat for the clamp one as the clamp is generally easier to find a solid place to mount.

What's the suction like ? Enough to hold metal objects like chain etc firmly enough to hacksaw through them ?
