Not the same as the Bresser ones from Lidl which I bought .

Slightly disappointed with mine. Optics good but let down by the mechanics IMO

However with only 8X magnification more suited to boating use than my 10X Bressers ( bought for looking at birds in the garden though really)

Pretty sure mine were a lot cheaper.

Worth going to have a look at I would think.

I've not seen the yellow marine ones they used to do for a while. They are good as I have a pair. For £30 you can always get a refund if you take them outside and find you have bought a kaleidoscope. If they go overboard its not a financial disaster either is it.

I have a pair of the floating yellow 7x50s with a compass, that were a similar price & they are excellent.

Those are just a basic pair to leave in the car. 40mm object lens is not big enough for low light use & 8x rather than 7x just aggravates the problem. But for what they are, I would expect them to be OK.

I also bought a 20-50x spotterscope for 20 quid with a case & tripod from them & while there is some distortion round the edge of the lens on the higher magnifications it is excellent value for money. Of course, If I had wanted the best, I could have paid 10-50 times as much for it.

Not the same as the yellow compass ones that were on sale 5 or so years ago - if those were on sale again I would be down like a shot.

we got a pair of compass ones from aldi 2 years ago they had some more in last year might have em in again this year at some point
