Albatros (SP?) speedboat. What is it worth?

Morning , first time I have posted on this thread..(a raggie, so please be gentle).

Friend has an Albatros speedboat.. aluminium hull ..generally solid condition ..everything is there.Coventry Climax engine etc. He has not used it for a long while , and is considering selling it.
Any ideas what he should be asking for it?

There was a feature in Classic Boat magazine on Albatross recently with lots of background and contacts. Few Climax survived because not only fewer were made Expensive when new), but some were transferred to cars.

Rather silly attitude to take if I may say so. Why don't you trust them? What have they done to upset you?

This is a very specialised market. There is no compulsion for you to use them, but given they sell those boats they might just be a source of better information than randomly asking the question.

Don't know what it's worth but I'd love to own it my first boat was a delta with the 1600 Ford many happy days spent skiing behind it

Site belongs to John Fildes, Albatros owner and huge enthusiast of the marque. Far from being just a broker there's probably no one better to speak to.

I got talking to a gentleman a few days ago whilst walking our dog beside lake windermere and he said he was traveling to St Olaves with his Albatross today for a meeting with other owners.
