Hi esteemed knowers of stuff.. I have a NASA AIS radar (self installed) which suffers from very low signal strength. The aerial is new, I have also tried using my trusted VHF comms aerial and that makes no difference. I have gone so far as to return the unit to NASA, who have bench tested it and say it's fine. (very helpful they were too.. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
Having just looked at the BNC connection thread, I've noticed that the RG59 coax cable I've used is 75ohm and 'suitable for video'.
Should I be using 50ohm stuff?
Thanks, Ross
