The depth sounder in our Raymarine set up seems to be faulty. (Airmar Smart Tri Multisensor 20-633-01). Everything else is working very well

Running through an ST70 instrument I can see the instrument is responding but depth readings have been variable and now seem to have stopped completely.

A replacement sensor seems to be very hard to find.

Is there a compatible alternative?

One 'suggestion' was to upgrade the whole system as it 10 years old anyway!

Contact Airmar - their support is very good and they'll tell you if there's a current model which is compatible. I bet there is.

I have the impression that Airmar is a spinoff of Raymarine, which itself is a spinoff of Raytheon, so have a suspicion that they ensure availability of / compatibility with older depth sensors because their naval contracts require them to.
