Airmar PB100 too good to be true

hi,

I have recently joined a yacht that has a PB100 installed on it, all singing all dancing weather station, problem is it stops working efficently when under sail because out 57ft yacht is too unstable in rollie conditions.

anyone also had problems

I use the £18 job from Aldi. Works for me. I was impressed enough to get one for the house as well - still working fine after about 4 years.

Me too. I have one in the house, one in the camper and bought them as Xmas presents for my brother-in-law and my son. -0.1C outside at the moment.

There is no solution to this problem. I looked into the PB100 for my new boat. I spoke to Airmar in the USA and they said that the PB100 was not really suitable for sailing! (The PB stands for Power Boat, by the way).

They have recently launched the PB200 which they say cures the problem.
