Airmar P79 Transduver Cable

We need to replace our Airmar P79 transducer however I believe the plug at the end of the lead is behind the dashboar.

To save the hassle of running a new cable to the dashboard, does anyone know if it is possible to cut and join a transducer cable (it's marked c2 c1225)?

You can cut and splice this cable.
