My airmar 'smart tri multisensor 20-633-01 with white seatalk plug on a black with white s
tripe cable developed a fault.
I bought an airmar intelligent tri 20-435-01. It has no plug end.
I cut the original to utilise the seatalk plug.

Original wiring is
Red
Black
White
Light blue
Yellow
Bare braid. Assume it's a shield?

New DST800 has 7 cables. Blue black has a shield wrap foil
Re white green brown and bare shield

An instruction sheet says for wiring to an iTC-5
1 screen 0V (shield)
2 blue piezoceramic +
3 black piezoceramic -
4 Red = speed V+
5 do not connect the screen on the speed temp terminal
6 green speed (signal)
7 white Temperature (signal)
8 brown temperature 0V

Can anyone tell me which wire goes which ?
Thanks

It doesn't sound like you've got a DST800 with direct N2K output (STng is just a form of N2K connector).

Sounds like that's the one to connect to an iTC-5, which produces the STng output.

Yes, that's not an N2k DST, it requires an Itc5.

The N2k type has 5 wires,
RED/BLACK POWER
BLUE/WHITE CAN (data)
SCREEN
You can then join it to the plug you cut off the faulty item, ignoring the yellow wire (Seatalk).
