I am looking to fit a pair of airhorns to my boat this coming week and I need to know some advice on how to fit them, I have a pair of normal circular ones fitted at the moment, is it just a case of replacing those with the airhorns using the same wiring? or will I need to fit a compressor to make them work? because from what I have seen in the chandlerys they are not sold with a compressor.

Thanks for any advice...

I have Fiamm airhorns fitted to my vehicle and they have a separate compressor which the wiring connects to and the horns themselvesare connected by a plastic pipe through a Y piece. The answer for you is where the wiring is connected. If there are terminals on the horns themselves they are either electrical or have a self contained compressor on each one.(which ,in my limited experience I have not seen before.) Whatever way you end up fitting them , it would pay for them to be wired through a relay.
I hope this is of some help.

Cheers
