Last year out to sea my starboard engine over heated. The raw water stopped coming through. I traced it back to air getting into the sea cock during rough water and the rubber hose to the engine flattened due to water starvation. I have changed the hoses to ones that won't flatten, but wonder if I should put an air vent on top of the sea cock in case air gets in again. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Fred
