trying to find advise for size of unit for a 14m sail monohull. Looking at webastow reverse cycle 10000btu.
all the info for requirements go by square footage but I don’t know it.
any info / advise

EPA recommendation is about 20 BTU for every 1 sq ft of space too cool. Of course other factors may apply, like outside temperature and window shades, etc.

Just saw the part where you tried to estimate your interior volume. This might help:
length x beam x height/2.5 (sort of cone formula)

Are you planning to have air outlets/ducts only in the saloon area or at cabins too?
I have a 16000btu air-condition in my 13 meters boat with outlets in saloon, bow cabin and the two rear cabins. Unfortunately I cannot close the ducts (I know, it doesn't sound smart) unless I block them with something so they all blow air. It struggles to cool the boat under the hot Mediterranean sun but eventually it does the job.
