Anyone retro fitted A/c to targa 37.Just about everything which turned up at airport to enable some nice cold air air to flow around boat did not fit.
A/C unit would not fit under saloon seat, ducting was far to big to go thru any voids and inlet and exit grills designed to fit on flat surface are no good on this boat beacause all suitable surfaces are curvey.Only way to avoid placing in/out grills next door to each other involves the loss of the front bedroom cupbard.
Ho hum bit of a waste of time really.
ps It is b.....y hot in france.

Ah
I'm nearing the time to DIY A/c to my Sealine 37 except no one will give me a quote. They will happily spend hours helping me plan and draw up a spec but trying to get them to quote is like pulling teeth.
Being in Italy I'm trying Climma and Veco. What did you go for and what capacity?

When I was 'buying' the s/seeker , I got firm quotes out of both Arie de Boom and Monaco Marine if you are ever on the Cote d'Azur. Have you tried any of the companies in Olbia? There are so many maintenace and suchlike companies there..

I remember Arie de Boom from when I was in La Napoule, excellent people. I'm in Rome now and using the local agents for the Italian A/C manufacturing companies. I e-mailed the President of VECO yesterday so hoping for some action maybe today, maybe tomorrow ,maybe the next day..............
Do you mind sharing with me how much your quote was for?

Actual quotes are at home but both were of same order .

From memory, it was c.€8600 for a 12,000 BTU unit fitted with 2 outlets ( saloon and cabin). But dead easy in that boat as the outlets are always on port side and an easy run, just didn't know how to do it myself. A self - contained unit was cheaper. Seemed expensive at the time but there was no way I was going to consider hacking at 'new' boat..

Not my boat, owner was quoted 11000 euros by local yard (in NICE)for complete fit.
So he decided to source in UK. 2 x 6000btu.one for for cabin and one for saloon/aft cabin.
single unit + all bits from UK agent 2.500 quid.

Thanks,
Do you have the name of the agent and the A/C manufacturers. Although a little under specified (Sealine recommend a total of 14,000btu's for the S37) it's a good price for 2 units and if the bits fitted then the job should have been straightforward.

Sorry, that price(2.5K) was for only half system.1 x 6000btu + bits to complete.Need to double that for total cost.
