Hi

I wish to arrest my air breeze instead of having the blades "trundling" around when in the "off" position by use of cord ( I'v seen it do on other makes with "fans" and not blades). I cannot see a way of doing this without preventing the unit from weather vaning. Im sure other owner must have found the solution so whats the trick ??

cheers

You might have been provided with a cut off switch. This simply shorts + to - and brakes the unit. If you are lucky and have one, which works. The instruction book calls for a single throw, double pole switch, which, once you get your brain round it, means that it transfers the possative cable, on the unit side to contact with the negative on the same side.

Please get advice, if you do not understand. You must make sure that the switch is the right way round. If you short possative to negative on the battery side, you will have very hot and unfortunate results.
