Aicon 75 Flybridge

Hi,
Nice looking boat, we were in Millazo the first 2 weeks of august, and visited the Aicon Factory there (Aicon 56) and there finishing inside and out is magnificent, we have seen a few "older" 56's there (2 to 4 years old), one wich was 3 years old and only 43 hours on the clock (US owner only did 11 hours with it) due to time restiction. We also visited a new 56 with oak patinné for a South African owner ready to ship, magnificent!
The only thing i didnt like is when they are a few years older, they fade to a yellowish colour or is this always like that in Sicily? (plan to transport ours by road or ship to Sicily) and keep her 1-2 seasons there before we upgrade.

I was there for a day on the 8th August during my vacation, may be we could have met...

to my knowledge they are cream colored on there own, now before I comment I have to see how a boat is maintained
some people just dont care about there boat for 10 months and the sun has also its affects especially here in the southern med where you have a cycle of powerful sun rays with water it never does any good to the gelcoat, unless you take care properly and give a good protection of hand polish each season

definitly love the light colored oak interior, saw one being completed also over there

if you will be in Sicily with your Sunseeker I am in Malta and if you wanna pop over it will be nice to meet up
 
Malta is on our list !
But most of all the islands above, Vulcano, Lipari, Salina Fillicudi, Panarea & Stromboli wich all are only a 30 mile range from our marina.

Wander how the weather is like there beginning of april (eastern Hols)?

the islands of Ulisses are a must for any real sailor
have to it myself in a seperate time
if that is 30 miles I imagine you are in PortoRosa?
as Milazzo is a bit closer
in Easter you have a 60/40 chance of getting excellent weather

I do agree about the HT structure on most of these MY 20 mtrs +, it does look out of place altough very practical

personally I would prefare a removable bimini
 
Agree with you jez. These big flybridge hardtops are a load of weight in exactly the wrong place for stability. The one on the Aicon does look even more monstrous and ugly than usual
 
Yup, it looks ugly indeed.
Which is funny, because from what can be seen in the pics, they probably did their best efforts to make it nice.
It'd be pointless otherwise to have such long suspended structures (aft part), requiring internal reinforcements, thus adding further weigth...
