Ahh, the Crouch is lovely!

So can we conclude that;
The East Coast has some beautiful rivers;
That some moboists deserve to be called twassocks
but mostly they are very nice people;
Dylan has an opinion and isn't afraid to use it (something I appreciate regardless of his views)
and that peace can reign once more on the ECF.

and some sailing boaty types are twassocks too... well we can't have Motor Boat owners getting all of the Karma! ;)

My boat's at Hullbridge, which is about a mile up river from Brandy Hole, and I love it. Not only is it picturesque, it's also cheap and you can walk across the river at low tide. If it's blowing a hooley I can have a good sail around the Crouch and the Roach then anchor with the seals ovenight without having to go out on the big bad sea.

Perfik.

Well done. Real water dwellers will understand.

Keep them coming Dylan, and keep watching, people...

This is Dylan's impression of the rivers. He gets irritated by idiot mobos occasionally, as we all do, but that is a few minutes out of hours of film. I don't recall that he implied that all mobos were like that!

The East Coast is a tolerent and magical place. We all (mobos and raggies and dinghy sailors and jetskiers and canoeists and rowers and windsurfers and kite-surfers and fishermen and ...) get irritated by each other from time to time, but when the moment passes, we get back to giving a cheery wave and letting them all enjoy themselves as they wish. Dylan shows that well in his films - the irritation soon passes and he's back to enjoying the sailing and watching the other river users.

Chill out, guys, and enjoy your boating and (if you want to) Dylan's films to remind you what it's like when you are stuck at home.

Thank you for taking the time to share your pleasure and frustrations.

We may all see anothers point of view.

Thank you again. I will watch it again and again. good winter viewing.

kind regards,

Les.

Dylan.. Dont change a thing

on the assumption that anyone is still following this thread it would be interesting to know if the films would be all the better for less comment and more pictures

so I could have filmed the mobos and not made any comments

or perhaps I should not have included the pictures of the mobos at all

It would be good to know.

I will watch the thrread with interest

Dylan

Its great as it is.. Dont change a thing !
