What is the visible difference between them and ordinary lead acid ?

Yes, they are about 60% of the weight and are capable of higher discharge relative to lead acid. From the set that we had they lasted 7 years and recovered a couple of times from almost dead.

Look carefully and you will see AGM written on them.
