Personally I don't think you can beat an afternoon nap.
I don't know if it is an age thing, a man thing or just feeling relaxed and not having to do anything unless we want to. I think I am just following my body clock.
I am a morning person so I get up early, get some things done, have a bit of lunch and look forward to a little shut eye.
I can then get up refreshed and enjoy the evening.
Is it just me or are there others out there who enjoy an afternoon nap on our boat?

If you've got to sleep, its probably best to do so by day, when any other vessel around can see your yacht easily, than by night, when their watchkeeper may be drowzy too.

With the heat of a summers day it's very good to slip below and "dust the cabin" after lunch. You can't beat it! I don't feel the urge in the colder weather though.

Yup. Siesta every afternoon after a couple of glasses of wine with lunch. Got to be such a habit the I really miss it if we go out and I miss my nap. I still wonder how I ever found time to work. :D

Naps do me no good at all! If I go to sleep, I need to stay asleep for at least a couple of hours or I wake up feeling worse than I did when I dozed off. My wife, on the other hand, can sleep for literally five minutes and awake refreshed.

Does your wife dropping of for a few minutes happen a lot to you maby?

Freedom to choose!

We love being able to nap in the afternoons, warm or cold!

Only way to cope with crazy eating times in Spain without falling asleep in your dinner ;)

And the luxury of choice just begs to be exercised........

Hadn't thought about that! Possibly explains the enormous number of Viagra ads that arrive in my mail every day....

With each awakening comes a new day to be discovered. If I have an afternoon nap it means I can fit two days into one. That means we can cruise twice as long on the same budget....:confused:
