Aftermarket Yanmar Injectors.

Chinese manufactured injectors for 3YM30 are circa £20 on sites like ebay. Anybody had any experience of these either as a replacement or used as a spare perhaps pending a mortgage for the genuine part ? At that price could they be maybe used whilst getting the originals serviced, and then kept as spares? Just wondering.

I wouldn't write them off completely but injectors are a precision manufactured product made from special steels. They may be OK they may not be. As a temporary substitute probably fine. You need to establish that they are set to "pop" as the correct pressure.

If they're anything like my Chinese copy of the Hitachi 1GM10 Alternator, don't bother. After the last "service" of my old injector it was returned with all new internals and bore little resemblance to the part I sent for check and calibration.
