What were last weekends winds like inside the bay?

Popped down (from Warwickshire) to check the lines and fenders last Saturday, but can't get down this weekend to check things are OK and would like to know how rough it was up around Cardiff Marina just for peace of mind please.

It usually is quite sheltered but it looked like the winds might be straight down the river which is not great as we are on the north side of a pontoon.

We went down the boat today to do a check after last weekends storm, she is berthed in Neyland Marina (pembs), the marina is generally very sheltered appart from in South/poss SW.

I was quite shocked to find a popped fender and one of the bow lines had some how stretched by quite a distinctive amount.

Just shows how strong the winds really were. One of the boats close to us had moved such a lot that their power lead had come out of the marina socket and was now hanging into the marina!

We are fairly lucky as the South is to our bow so we just push back onto the berth but there are a few boats who are beam onto the South and even today they were having a bit of a hard time.
